Attendance

Lectures and literature seminars are there to give you the frameworks and instructions behind each assignment — missing them raises your risk of misunderstanding a task or failing to get information you need. Attendance is compulsory at the following, since they form the basis of examination:

• Start-up Challenge presentation
• Case presentation
• Pitch
• Negotiation
• Inspera exam
• All literature seminars

If you can't make a compulsory session, contact Tomas Karlsson (examiner) before the session, not after.

Grading & Examination

• All assignments are graded pass/fail, and all must be passed to pass the course (this includes group assignments and the final reflection/portfolio).
• Weekly reflections: 2 points each, 14 points total.
• Final reflection: 50 points.
• Inspera exam: 36 points.
• Final grade is based on your accumulated points once every assignment has passed.
• Feedback on assignments can be expected within 15 working days of submission. Assignments generally aren't reassessed once submitted and graded, except in cases of counting errors — but a significantly improved resubmission taking feedback into account can be assessed again (talk to the examiner first, and no later than 5 working days after receiving feedback).

Use of AI

You're welcome to use AI as an advisory tool — but the examination needs to test your competence and experience, not an AI's writing. Don't copy text directly from an AI tool into your submissions. Your reflections in particular need a clear, personal connection to your own (or your group's) specific experiences and challenges in the course — generic or impersonal writing that could describe anyone's experience risks a failing grade. This program also has a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism: discussing ideas and giving each other feedback is encouraged, but the text you submit must be your own.

Workload

Plan for roughly 40+ hours a week to comfortably pass this course. The effort is intended to be spread evenly across the term, though you'll likely feel it ramp up toward the end.
